About this shirt
Stealth Concept: Billed as "London-inspired battle armour," the base features a dominant all-black colorway combined with "Light Iron Ore" gray accents, marking the club's first black away kit in over a decade. Subtle Typography: Emblazoned across the torso is a tech-inspired square tile grid pattern that subtly weaves the letters "SPURS" into the fabric texture. The back of the shirt features an exclusive, hyper-vibrant psychedelic multicolored number 7 design. Inspired by the South Korean Taegeuk philosophy and designed specifically for the 2025 Asian Pre-Season Tour, it stands out sharply against the stealthy black jersey. The traditional stylized club crest is nested cleanly into the bottom hook of the number. High-Performance Fabric: Constructed from 100% recycled polyester utilizing Nike's Dri-FIT ADV engineering, which weaves moisture-wicking properties directly into specialized, open-hole ventilation zones located over high-heat areas.
The story behind the shirt
2025/26 in context
In the summer of 2025, Tottenham Hotspur embarked on their pre-season tour of East Asia. The tour culminated on August 3, 2025, with a high-profile friendly against Newcastle United at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.Unbeknownst to many at the start of the summer, this match would mark Son Heung-min's absolute final appearance in a Tottenham shirt. Having served the club for a legendary 10 years and fresh off captaining Spurs to a Europa League trophy, Son was subbed off in the 66th minute to a massive standing ovation from his home country crowd before transferring to MLS side Los Angeles FC. This jersey was the exact kit he wore during those final 66 minutes on the pitch. The South Korean "Taegeuk" ArtistryTo honor the host nation and their iconic South Korean captain, Tottenham partnered with local Seoul-based graphic artist Jaehoon Choi to design custom typography exclusively for the match.Choi replaced the standard Premier League block font with a flowing, psychedelic typography set. The vibrant inner patterns of the number 7 were directly inspired by traditional South Korean Taegeuk philosophy—utilizing energetic swirls of red, yellow, and blue to symbolize cosmic balance, harmony, and national pride. Nested right into the bottom loop of the number is the classic Tottenham Hotspur cockerel crest."In Darkness We Dare"The base kit itself carried deep significance for the fanbase. Launched in June 2025 under the campaign tagline "In Darkness We Dare," this Nike kit marked the club’s highly anticipated return to an all-black away strip for the first time in over a decade.
