About this shirt
This spectacular jersey is an officially licensed, premium authentic reissue crafted by Ennerre (nr) using the exact specifications and specialized heavy knit textile machinery of the early 1990s. Set against a striking crimson red base, the shirt features a beautiful abstract light blue and white sash wave pattern that cuts horizontally across the chest and winds around the sleeves. It comes complete with a beautifully tailored, thick crossover polo collar and tight ribbed cuffs. The iconic S.S.C. Napoli Scudetto shield with the Italian Tricolore is expertly stitched onto the left chest, perfectly balanced by the woven 'nr' logo on the right. Across the front, the legendary Mars sponsor is masterfully integrated. The reverse features an authentic zigzag stitched-on white fabric number 10, paying ultimate homage to the club’s greatest-ever player.
The story behind the shirt
1990 in context
The 1990-91 season was a momentous, deeply emotional chapter in the history of S.S.C. Napoli. Entering the campaign as the reigning champions of Italy after capturing their second Scudetto, the Partenopei wore this exceptionally rare red third kit during their defense of the Italian crown and continental ventures. This template marks the final, historic season of Diego Armando Maradona in Naples. The tracking wave graphic represents the peak of golden-era Italian sportswear design, forever crystallized into football history alongside El Pibe de Oro's transcendent, unforgettable tenure at the Stadio San Paolo.
