One year after the tragic passing of the legendary Diego Armando Maradona, Napoli and EA7 launched a highly exclusive series of "Maradona Game" jerseys to celebrate the global icon who single-handedly carried the club to their first Scudetti in 1987 and 1990.While the previous variants featured white and sky-blue bases, this fourth and final "Maradona Rossa" installment was launched in March 2022. It was worn just once on the pitch by the squad during a massive, top-of-the-table Serie A clash against AC Milan at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.The defining element of the kit is the fingerprint pattern wrapping around Maradona’s face. Giuseppe Klain designed it explicitly to represent the concept of passing the Argentine hero’s legacy down to younger generations.
