Under new manager Unai Emery, the club reached the UEFA Europa League final and fought fiercely for a Premier League top-four finish.However, the absolute crown jewel of this season was the historic emergence of Hale End academy graduate Bukayo Saka. On November 29, 2018, wearing this exact #87 shirt design, a 17-year-old Saka made his senior professional debut against Vorskla Poltava. He later made his Premier League debut in January 2019, wearing the #87 kit to replace Alex Iwobi.
